What was unprecedented was the sponsorship of the Abunimah/Blumenthal event by the Vassar College Departments of English, Sociology, Religion, Political Science and Sociology together with the Programs in Jewish Studies and International Studies. This institutional endorsement of these antisemities who wrap themselves in the cloak of anti-Zionism speaks volumes regarding the atmosphere at Vassar, where these attitudes have insinuated themselves into the classrooms and permeate the campus atmosphere. Where is the Vassar that used to encourage liberal learning?
